SOLARIS is a foreign trade company primarily focusing on import and export of agricultural goods, food, home goods and mining products. Later on, as demand from the market and new opportunities emerge, we will start importing and exporting other products such as machinery and electronic goods.

SERVICES
Greenhouse
Solaris Trader owns and operates two glass greenhouse facilities in cooperation with Basyazicioglu Tarim in Yozgat and Nevsehir. Powered 100% by clean geothermal energy, facilities perform agricultural production in a soilless environment consuming 95% less water than the industry average. Our products contain neither pesticides nor hormones and fertilizers.
International Trade
Solaris Trader imports and exports packaged food, construction materials, home goods and mining products between Turkey, Europe and Subsaharan Africa. Solaris has extensive network of producers, distributors and retailers in these regions.
Agricultural Product Sourcing
Solaris Trader procures and supplies a variety of agricultural products including fresh fruit and vegetables from the most qualified producers in Turkey. Solaris Trader also provides coordination regarding the logistics and customs procedures in order to maintain flawless transfer of products between the producers in Turkey and the grocery chains in Europe and Middle East.

Onur Erbay
Started his career as “Team Engineer” at Arçelik-LG. He continued his career as “Team Leader” at Otokar. He came back to Turkey as one of the founding members of Rocket Internet Istanbul office after spending 3 years at McKinsey’s Chicago office. Before founding Hopi and working as the CEO of the company, he managed the strategy function for North America market at eBay’s headquarter in San Jose. Lastly, he founded Naviga Capital which is a Venture Capital Fund in Amsterdam. He is a graduate of Middle East Technical University’s Mechanical Engineering department, has MSc degree at Engineering and Technology department at Bogazici University and MBA degree from Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania
Galip Bagci
After graduating from the International Relations department of Istanbul University, he received MBA degree at New York Institute of Technology focusing on marketing. He spent 7 years managing the sales and marketing functions of retailers in the US . Then he managed the marketing and corporate communications functions of Mudo; one of the most prominent retailers in Turkey. Before founding GrowinHub (i.e.; accelerator focusing on early stage technology investments), he managed the marketing function, performed as Executive Committee member at Karaca Group and became Managing Director of Emsan (i.e.; leading home goods retailer in Turkey). He is continuously listed as one of the best 30 CMOs of Turkey by various business associations and Fortune Magazine.
